Warren Controls Series Available From PECO

Simply defined, an actuator produces linear or rotary motion from a power source under the action of a source of control. Typically, it takes fluid, whether electric or not, and converts it through a motor or other device to work. That was a basic defining. An actuated valve comes in many requirements for various applications. Potentially, it can become confusing. Working with an expert is the most beneficial solution to attaining the right actuated valve for the right device.

Processing Engineering and Equipment Company, PECO, provides customers with options when it comes to actuated valves. In addition, PECO provides expert advice if ever a customer is unsure of which actuator to use for the device at hand.

Air and electric actuated valves come from Warren Controls manufacturers. This specific type is for industrial process and control applications. In addition, air and electric valves handle thermal oils, hot and chilled water and steam.

Warren/Controls Series 1800 is a series forged of iron, steel or stainless steel into hard, heavy glove, high-capacity control valves that can be sized for various trim materials and port sizes. The Warren/Controls Series 2800 is of bronze or stainless steel; and the 2900 series is of iron.

Warren Controls series 3800 consists of rotary globe control valves incorporating time-tested and proved eccentric-segmented ball design, E-Ball. It combines exceptional tight control and rnage ability with superior trim wear characteristics.

In Warren/Controls Series 5800, steel or stainless steel is forged into hardy, compact, heavy globe control valves with cage- retained seats and various trim materials and port sizes.

PECO provides all the above Warren/Controls with valve assemblies available and 2-way valve control, a classic valve.

PECO has more information about each series available at http://www.pecopage.com/industrial-equipment/actuated-valves. Here customers can find contact information to get any questions answered or to determine other industrial and HVAC products that would suite the company.

Experience in Motor and Equipment Repair and Maintenance

Proper management of Maintenance, Repair and Operations for any manufacturer can bring significant savings to any manufacturer’s budget. Of the estimated $100 billion spent by U.S. companies, about $10 billion to $12 billion is spent on MRO inventory that’s left on the shelf.

A recent study of 500 companies conducted by Grainger Consulting Services shows about half of U.S. businesses are doing a bad job of effectively managing MRO supplies. Their inventory shows plenty of repair parts on hand, but too often it’s too many of some parts and equipment, and not enough of critical items, causing shortages that bring production to a halt. So it’s not surprising that there are a number of vendors entering the market offering to handle MRO services for industrial and commercial companies.

But inventory isn’t the entire problem a manufacturer faces when attempting to manage MRO. It’s about scheduling preventive maintenance, tracking trends in periodic repair of equipment, and limiting down time in production cycles by not allowing your electric motors and equipment to “run to failure.”

The staff and engineers at On-Line Equipment Management, LLC, have spent more than 30 years in the equipment management industry. They developed their original program to assist HECO, Inc., a leading company in the Midwest for electric motor repair and replacement. The electric motor is an essential piece of equipment throughout the production process in any industrial plant. If an electric motor goes down, it’s not just the cost of replacement parts but the additional cost of downtime that the company has to endure.

OLEM’s experience from the equipment side of MRO rather than as computer programmers new to motors and industrial equipment gave its engineers a unique perspective. It led them to develop TracRat, a web-based repairable asset management program for electric motors and other industrial production equipment. TracRat’s developers understood that the most efficient and effective way to control Maintenance Repair and Operations costs is to "anticipate, react and control.” If a manufacturer's MRO team only reacts and controls, the damage has been done – it’s too late to save money.

TracRat’s motor management software provides instant repair history, location history, failure analysis and average time between service needs of company’s entire motor population. The data tracks average trends but also the particulars of each piece of equipment, including maintenance schedules, warranty periods and failure analysis. The system is also available for suppliers to log in and access a company’s equipment repair history to discover the cause of an equipment failure. Suppliers can add in their information on repairs made so that the history of every electric motor or production equipment is covered by TracRat from “cradle-to-grave.”

As a result, major industrial companies such as General Motors, U.S. Steel, Pfizer and U.S. Gypsum have saved millions of dollars by using TracRat.

TracRat is an efficient tool that provides manufacturers the capability to comprehensively manage MRO by reducing inventory, cutting costs, reducing and even eliminating downtime, and increasing the efficiency of equipment repair and overall production.

Steel Tube Manufacturer

Finding a new service provider can seem like a chore, whether it’s cable and internet, paper supplier, or steel tubing supplier; it’s easy to forget the things the company needs or wants. That’s why people make grocery lists, right? To make sure there is nothing to forget. Getting your ducks in a row is convenient when venturing out to find a new supplier.

There is the obvious comparison of price between suppliers in the area. However, consider the less obvious. Maybe shipments outside the area are less costly. There may seem to be a slight inconvenience of time and location, but that can be easily countered by ordering supplies before they run out. When looking for a steel tube provider consider all the sectors involved in the business and all the materials used. For example, while one part of the company may use round steel tubes, another may only need square or rectangular. When ordering for one sector, ask all to take advantage of handling all business at once. Companies want a one-stop shop supplier so that there is no need to make multiple orders. When covering all bases within the company, there should be no need to make more than one order at a time.

A prime steel tubing supplier example is Sterling Pipe & Tube Inc. Shipment orders have to be at least a truckload or 40,000 to 45,000 pounds. Located in Toledo, Ohio, Sterling Pipe conveniently located for the Midwest and ships to the continental United States, shipments can be easily satisfied with a phone call. In the past 24 years, Sterling Pipe & Tube Inc has created a reputable service industry for steel tubing. Search the website for further information at http://www.sterlingpipeandtube.com/.

Before ordering, remember to check all the basis to include all steel and tubing necessary to avoid paying for multiple shipments.

Ice Cream Cars For Cool Cash

Refurbished items can be just as good as a brand new item, except cost less. However there is skepticism that comes with buying a refurbished item, such as why is it refurbished? Typically items refurbished, or even on clearance, are that because a previous owner did not want it and returned it; or the item is damaged somehow, yet not so damaged that the item isn’t functional. Let’s face it. No retailer or manufacturer is going to sell something that wouldn’t work (hopefully).

For instance, when creating a new business, searching for property may be difficult; but ultimately the price is going to sell the property because everyone wants a good deal. At Apple, computers are refurbished and sold for hundreds of dollars less. The computer is wiped clean and restored to manufacture status, as though it was brand new. That said maybe the idea of a previous owner is unsettling to some. How about just a good deal? That would sell probably any item.

If an extra source of income is enticing, check out the deal prices or get a quote on an ice cream dipping cart similar to, if not exact, to the ones seen at baseball games or a busy, urban intersection. C. Nelson Manufacturing Co. has great selections on ice cream carts, Italian ice carts, gelato carts, and other pushcarts.

There are different types of carts. Typical of pushcarts, there are slide tops or self-serving dipping cabinets. For frozen dessert carts, which incorporates most of what C. Nelson Manufacturing Co. has to offer, offer the options for carts with canopies and/or graphics. Each type of cart, whether gelato, Italian ice or plain ice cream cart, will have extra options as well.

Click on the website for detailed information: http://www.cnelson.com/. The options are seemingly endless. It may be refurbished or previously owned, that doesn’t mean a vendors cart couldn’t bring in a little extra cash.

Buying Locally Made Industrial Products

As far as produce goes, even meat, buying local is the way to go. You support your community and give back just a little bit. There are certain items, if you will, that I prefer to buy foreign, like cars. Many people trust local or “American-made” more than they trust foreign manufacturers. They believe with natural produce that there won’t be any added preservatives; or with cars, they know that the parts aren’t going to be expensive if their car breaks down. Manufacturers of hydraulic cylinders have the same opinions. They create custom, American-made equipment.

Custom hydraulic cylinders will require a reliable manufacturer, in addition, more than likely require you to return to the same provider if something malfunctions. That is absolutely why you need to trust that the manufacturer is reputable and creates quality work. Not sure if you can trust them yet? Create a prototype. See if your hydraulic cylinder manufacturer produces what you stated you wanted. If their raw material were an image you want to bring to ‘life’, then they are trustworthy. However, if the prototype isn’t what you wanted in the slightest, perhaps it’s time to go elsewhere. Something about custom made makes an object original and unique. Thus, you want to work with experienced engineers.

Capabilities? With hydraulic cylinders you’ll come across typical capabilities, such as engineering support, pressure ratings, rephrasing cylinders, piggyback cylinders, repairable and non-repairable cylinders, and so on. The difference could be in the size of the rod you’re using. Rod sizes up to 5 inches or bore sizes 1-8 inches can be the difference in capabilities. Meaning, they don’t always have to be typical. When you have a custom hydraulic cylinder, you kind of want the capabilities to be unique as well.

When you can afford custom made materials, you should indulge. There is always something unique and personal. I prefer supporting local to foreign, but some things you cannot help yourself, like my car. Find a manufacturer you trust and stick with them for each of your custom designs. Clearly, if they did it right the first time, they know what they’re doing.
